Huck Finn's Jubilee Run Away with Tom & Huck   June 17, 18, 19, 2005 - Mojave Narrows Regional Park, Victorville, CA. River raft building, catfishing, bluegrass and country music help recreate the life and times of Tom and Huck for its 29th season.. Nearly 1,000 RVs camp on 500 acres of river parkland for this award winning event in Victorville, California. Friday features early morning hot air balloon lift-off, a catfish derby, barn-dance and a performance by Mark Twain Live, at 8 p.m. - Saturday hosts the California State Arm Wrestling Championships at 12 noon, Route 66 Classic Car Show, crafts and food festival and National Bluegrass Playoffs on main stage. Sunday opens with chapel services with Wayne Rice followed by the Russell Bros. Circus and a 6pm evening concert with Merle Haggard. The Route 66 Mother Road Museum is celebrating their 5th Anniversary with the 3rd Classic Car Show. Dash plaques and gift bags are included for the first 50 entries and special hand-made trophies will be awarded for a minimum of ten favorites decided by the judges. Albert Okura, owner of Juan Pollo and the new owner of the town of Amboy, will provide a delicious rotisserie chicken lunch for only $5.00 per plate.

The event setting takes place at the historic railroad depot of 1910 known as Casa del Desierto of the Harvey House fame. Harvey Girls will conduct free tours of the historic building. Two air-conditioned museums with free admission to visit are located on the premises and the Barstow Area Chamber of Commerce is newly open on the west side of the building. The ongoing drawing during the event has great prizes not to miss! Displayed in the Route 66 Museum are photographs of early Barstow depicting travel of a bygone era. Route 66, Harvey House, antique toys, automobile memorabilia, two vintage Harley Davidson Motorcycles, a 1915 Model-T, an original 64 &#frac12; Mustang, and photo exhibits are currently on exhibit. A fine museum gift shop offers a variety of specialized gift and souvenir items at reasonable prices. Also a wide selection of books, magazines and maps are available on the Mother Road, the Mojave Desert, California, trains, mining, and classic vehicles.

37th Annual Antique Show & Sale,   presented by the San Bernardino County Historical Bottle and Collectibles Club. Approximately 35 dealers with a variety of small antiques, old bottles and glass, paper goods, Depression glass, fruit jars, old jewelry, insulators, citrus labels, pottery.
