Over 100 new and old quilts. Vote for your favorite quilts. The Mayor Lawrence Dale will be presenting a certificate for his favorite with the help of his wife Rita. Quilt registration is Friday; show Sat & Sun 10-4; both are free and open to everybody! "Patriotic Angels" quilt is on display at the museum for a drawing on Sunday at 3:00. Meet Postmark Artist and Two Lane Highway Historian Ken Turmel of OK, and Scott Piotrowski of Los Angeles, Route 66 filmmaker, photographer and author of soon-to-be-released Route 66 guidebook on Los Angeles County. Also, Elizabeth Strickland of FL will be releasing her new book "Route 66 to the Fields in California, A True Okie Family Experience" along with her special exhibit. Elizabeth is anxious to share her family's story. Saturday our artists and authors can be found at the Route 66 Museum where they may give a brief talk and be available for autographs. Sunday they will be appearing at the Main Street Car Show (Route 66) near the Union Bank. Look for the Route 66 Museum's table.
