Four grandstands surround the arena, filled to capacity. The Perez family checked out the bull pen.
The bull pen, prior to the riding events. Bulls carefully were herded, with several interested onlookers, into position for the riders. The first bull in the shute awaits preparations and rider.
Beautiful young horsewomen, members of Amazonas de Miraloma, displayed their side-saddle horsemanship, circling the arena at break-neck speed, followed by intricately patterned drills. By the end of their performance, all eyes followed the women, as they exited the arena.
The young men, about to risk life and limbs atop unpredictable bulls, pray for good and safe rides.
Between bull rides, conversations between friends passed time.
